Year 1

Welcome to Year 1!

The teachers of this year are Rose Ludlow (Amber) and Nicola Hill (Orange). The classes are also supported by Liz Young, Lizzie Sedgewick, Lauren Backshall and Angela Owen.

 

Homework is sent home on Friday and should be returned by the following Thursday. PE is on Monday and Friday.

 

Reading
Your child will be heard read in school at least once every week and reading books will be changed weekly. Please encourage your child to read at home every day and please record this in their Reading Record Book. Becoming a confident, enthusiastic reader is key to your child's success throughout their school life.  We welcome opportunities to read other material such as leaflets from an exciting family outing, comics, library books and also Bug Club books which can be found at http://www.activelearningprimary​.
