Reading At Home

At The Churchill School we believe that reading is an integral part of the school curriculum and a fundamental life skill that impacts on all learning. Everything else depends on it and so we put in as much energy as possible to ensure that every child learns to read and enjoys reading.

We want every child to love reading and be enthusiastic and motivated readers who feel confident to be able to talk about books and authors. We ensure our children have access to a wide range of high-quality texts that are both challenging and enjoyable for all readers.

We have a reading scheme that ranges across the whole school and we hope that these videos will support you with supporting your child at home.
