Vision Statement


At The Churchill School we are committed to delivering a quality education for all children. Our pupils are at the very heart of what we do and we strive to develop every single child into a resilient, independent and passionate learner who is ready for life in modern Britain.

Mission Statement


A partnership of pupils, parents, staff and governors working together for:

  • self improvement
  • academic achievement
  • community involvement
  • equality of opportunity
  • raising expectations
  • evolving technological skills
  • enhancing the environment
  • development of personal skills


To enable us to get the very best from our young people we will provide:

  • a child centred learning environment in which a stimulating, accessible and enriching curriculum can be delivered
  • support and care for all pupils
  • resources and facilities which enhance technological practice
  • links with the local community to make the learning experience relevant
  • information for parent(s) about academic progress and general welfare through regular Assertive Mentoring reports and the opportunity to meet staff by appointment
  • a range of enrichment activities and support beyond the normal school day to enhance pupil achievement e.g. clubs and societies


We expect parent(s) to ensure that:

  • pupils attend regularly
  • pupils are sent to School in full uniform and with protective clothing for bad weather
  • pupils have appropriate equipment, such as, games kit and a suitable bag
  • pupils arrive by 8.45 am each morning
  • pupils are read with on school days
  • they are able to attend all parents' evenings


We expect pupils to:

  • behave in line with the school policy
  • arrive on time each day, attend regularly and bring all the necessary equipment
  • attempt all homework set to the best of their ability
  • follow their class rules
  • do their best in every area of the curriculum
