In June 2004 the Yellow Class made some new friends. We met a class from L'Ecole Maternelle Fabre D'Eglantine which is on the edge of Boulogne in France.

To begin with they came to our school for the day.

When they arrived we played together in the playground to get to know each other.

After that we had lunch, the French children enjoyed their hot dogs and chips!

In the afternoon we showed the French children our classroom. They played on our interactive whiteboard and we sang songs in French.

At the end of the day we gave our French friends some gifts we had prepared for them.

We had something special for each person, and a backpack to help them carry it home.

(thanks to SeaFrance for this donation).

We said goodbye but we weren't too sad. We knew we were going to see them again soon when we went to visit them in France!
