Blueprint

Our Year 5 children took part in a project called Blueprint: You've Got Mail. In collaboration with the Metropole Gallery in Folkestone and artists from Blueprint, the children explored the theme of 'communication'.

	The project started with a twilight session at the Metropole for teachers, followed by a visit to the gallery by the children. They saw how their work would be displayed and began their work with artists from the Blueprint team
The next stage of the project comprised two full day workshops at the school. The Blueprint artists involved the children in a series of practical activities that explored the use of many different materials.
Finally the children visited the gallery to see their work on display. It offered them a unique opportunity to see their creations exhibited to the same standard as professional artwork.

Their work was combined with contributions from schools all over Kent that had been posted to the gallery
